A BIT OF A CHRISTMAS SURGE…”LAST MINUTE” SHOPPING HOLDS TRUE EVEN WHEN YOUR PURCHASING REAL ESTATE!
A total of 12 properties SOLD in PENTICTON this past week, that’s UP 5 sales (7) from the previous week and UP 4 home sale (8) from the same week one year ago. The highest priced transaction was a single-family home in the Wiltse/Valleyview neighbourhood which sold for more than $1.2 Million. The difference between the average listing price and the average negotiated sales price this past week ended up at 95%, with only 3 of the 12 properties selling “AT OR OVER” their stated listing price. Our current Inventory levels hover around 307+ homes (of all types) “For Sale” right now compared to 139 homes this time last year. That’s an increase in inventory year over year of 120%. We are now into our SIXTH straight month where inventory levels are higher than the previous year. Based on our NOVEMBER month-end stats, we are firmly locked into a “BUYERS” housing market.
