IT WAS A QUIET WEEK OF HOME SALES IN THE PENTICTON REAL ESTATE MARKET!
Only 13 properties in PENTICTON were sold this past week. That’s DOWN 5 sales from a week ago (when we sold 18 homes), and DOWN 1 property sale (14) for the same time period one year ago. The highest priced transaction was a Single-Family Home on the South side of Penticton which sold for more than $1.3 Million Dollars. The difference between the average listing price and the ACTUAL negotiated sales price this past week ended up at 95%, with just 2 of the 13 properties selling at or over their stated listing price. Inventory levels in the City of Penticton continue to be advantageous for BUYER’S! We have 540 properties (of all types) “For Sale” right now in the city compared to 418 homes this time last year – that’s an increase in inventory of +29% year over year. Buyer’s (at this moment in time) have a decided advantage in today’s real estate marketplace.13 SALES by property type for the homes SOLD this past week (Aug. 26 – Sept. 1). Breakdown is as follows:
